The Garibaldi Group was founded in 1919 in Hoboken,
New Jersey by Joseph J. Garibaldi, Sr. The company was
known as the Joseph J. Garibaldi Organization and its
real estate focus was concentrated within the urban
areas of Northern New Jersey.
Mr.
Garibaldi’s efforts to bring several large companies
including Maxwell House to Hoboken were "the greatest
single factor to Hoboken's amazing industrial boom",
as promoted by the NJ Observer in 1939.
In
1937 and 1944 respectively, Joseph J. Garibaldi’s
sons, Joseph Jr. and Frank, become the new guardians
of this growing real estate firm. The company
name changed to Garibaldi Realty Corporation.

After
53 years, the firm moved its headquarters from
Hoboken to Springfield, New Jersey to better position
itself within the growing suburban office market. |

The
four sons of Joseph Jr., become the third generation
of Garibaldi owners. Eldest son, Joseph III, along
with his brothers, John, James and Jeffrey, become
the heirs to the family legacy. |

The
firm moved from Springfield to Chatham, New Jersey
renovating the historic Town Hall Building, which
served as its new headquarters. |

With
the addition of a more diverse scope of services
to meet the requirements of an increasingly sophisticated
client base, the company name was changed to The
Garibaldi Group. |

The
firm expanded and opened a satellite office located
in Princeton, New Jersey. |

The
firm joined CORFAC International to provide its
growing client base with expanded global real
estate expertise. |

The
fourth generation was established, as Joseph J.
Garibaldi, IV and Michael Garibaldi joined the
firm. |

The
firm celebrated its 75th anniversary. |
|

In
recognition of their exceptional contributions
to the growth of the firm, The Garibaldi Group
welcomed John J. Garibaldi, Peter D. Blanchard
and Robert T. Morford as equity partners. |

| 2000 – 2004 |

The
Financial Services and Lease Administration divisions
were expanded to broaden the firm’s scope
of services, and a Capital Markets Group is formally
established to better service its institutional
clients. |

The firm continues its market expansion with the opening of a second satellite office located in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania. |

An
affiliation is formed with The Stellar Real Estate
Group, further expanding the firm’s client
base.

|
The
firm expanded its Princeton office announcing
Peter Dodds, formerly President of Keller, Dodds
and Woodworth, Inc. This new Princeton office
expansion included a name change to Garibaldi,
Morford & Dodds.
